Feeding your baby

You can get support if you have any problems feeding your baby, whether you are breastfeeding, bottle feeding or a combination.

If your child is under 12 months old, we can support you with:

  • feeding the right amount
  • pain or discomfort after breastfeeding
  • bottle feeding and making up formula
  • connecting you with other parents

Camden Baby Feeding Team drop-in sessions

You can meet other mums, dads and carers at our friendly baby feeding drop-ins.

One-to-one support

If you need one-to-one support or are unable to attend a group, we can visit you at home or talk over the phone.

To find out what support is available:

Our phone line is available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. If you leave an answer phone message, we aim to respond to you by the next working day.

Starting solid foods

When your baby is 6 months old, you should begin to introduce solid foods. The NHS website has weaning advice and tips.

Join our free parent courses to help you adjust and overcome common challenges:

  • Starting Solids, for babies who have not yet started solids
  • Starting Solids Next Steps, for babies who have started solids and are under 1 year old
